Steak House Restaurant in Fort Stockton

Prices reflect that of a steakhouse, however the quality does not. The salad bar was very basic, the ranch dressing was not that “homemade” flavor.Each of the plates in the photo were $12.99. (Sirloin chop steak & grilled chicken breast.)The flavor was good, but more worthy of an $8.99 price tag.The waitress was friendly.Sorry, but this won’t be on my list of places to eat.

If your looking for Down home country breakfast and hospitality,this is the place. they also have an impressive Steak menu. And if the steak is half as good as the breakfast you'll be in for a treat.

This is a very excellent restaurant.Their chicken fried steak is like eating Heaven and its so big and for a very cheap price. When it comes to morning breakfast its very delightful. I would personally recommend you or your family going to the steakhouse. Their waitress will always be there for you and will always put a smile on the customers face. Steakhouse decor is a unique western theme everything just blends. If your ever in Fort Stockton make sure you stop by Steakhouse for a quick bite!!!!!

Steak over cooked very limited salad bar and way overpriced

They have a bomb chicken fried steak. It's a little bleak inside, but it's a good place for a quick bite. A little pricy on some foods and fair on others. And they have specials, which seems to come with a salad from the bar and a small cup of soup.

Service was good. Restaurant is so-so. Food was terrible. Had Mexican with no flavor on the enchiladas and beans had been sitting on the plate for a very long time. Yuck

Worst restaurant I've ever eaten at. Chopped steak was overcooked and dry. I wasn't even asked how I wanted it cooked. Salad bar was a disaster. Very little lettuce in bowl and it was full of water. Veges looked and tasted old. Didn't even have diet coke. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I live out of town and am working in Fort Stockton this week and decided to go give this place a try. I was very impressed! My steak was excellent! They cooked it medium-rare for me (exactly how I ordered it). It was seasoned / marinated to perfection. Service was A+. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the mood for a good steak!

I ordered tacos, they were good.Their salsa was really good.Service friendly. Very clean place.

It was okay it wasn't that bad I did find a hair in my salad that kind of threw my whole meal off

Really bad food and the service was terrible. We spoke twice to the waitress on the way in and she just looked at us and it didn't get any better. Frozen shrimp half cooked and the chicken fried steak (supposed to be award winning) had so much garlic and pepper I couldn't taste the thin piece of meat. After the experience with the waitress and the empty cafe I thought CFS was a safe menu item, this is Texas! We spent $32 on food that we could barely eat.We travel this corridor occasionally on our way from Austin to Ruidoso. We will never stop there again.Good food isn't hard but a friendly wait staff can make bad food doable.Not sure how Goggle rates this 3.5 stars? The 2.5 star rating by trip advisor is more than generous. Passing through, don't stop!👎👎

Driving thru Tx again in my 18 wheeler. Stopped to treat myself to a nice steak dinner. T-bone was absolutely terrible. Never again will i stop here again. In the middle of southwest Tx , thinking steak. Boy was i sadly mistaken.

Breakfast was good, but don't come into town too late in the evening, they now close at 8:00 p.m..

This is a plain Jane restaurant that has surprisingly good food. The service was friendly and efficient. Stop by on your way through Ft. Stockton.

Very welcoming atmosphere. The waitress was very helpful and sweet when we were in a rush and needed takeout. You could tell who all were regulars because the waitstaff would strike up friendly conversation with them. It's a pretty small place, but it felt much more cozy than anything. Also, good food. We got enchiladas, a quesadilla and a burger and they all came out quick and tasted great!

It was very good food, I'm glad I found that place we plan on coming back.

The steak and shrimp was awesome

Steak was super expensive, tasteless and full of fat. I basically paid 24$ for fat. My dinner roll was so hard it sounded like I was sawing through wood, salad “bar” was a giant bowl of wet lettuce. Im sorry but this place was just horrible. I think the four star ratings comes from family or paid people because wow. Just bad.

They have an excellent breakfast until 11am local time. Each day Monday thru Friday they have a lunch special from 11 to 1. The prices are good and the servings are adequate, not small or wasteful. One of my favorite places to eat.

Wow.... Not a good wow either. Location is hidden in a cluster of Street side buildings that all look like old biker bars. The interior is simple yet dirty and smells of aged leathers or skins which is weird and off-putting. The service was sub par but could only be blamed on their management or lack there of. And the food was forgettable though easy and still I'll prepared.

We're from out of town and wanted something that wasn't on the menu. They accommodated and made what we wanted. I got chicken fried steak and eggs and my husband got steak and eggs. Mine was amazing! Probably the best chicken fried steak I've ever had. He enjoyed his as well. Service was wonderful as well!

We travel West from San Antonio and consistently stop here for breakfast and we are never disappointed. The home cooked meals are always fresh and delicious. I especially like their Westerni Omelette. Staff is friendly and efficient. Prices are reasonable. I recommend it for travelers wanting to stop for a good breakfast.

Really good food. We stopped in at the Steak House Restaurant for a late breakfast while traveling. This place was really surprising with friendly staff and other customers. It really does show what Texas Courtesy is all about. Great place to take a short drive off the highway and stop. I get the feeling a lot of locals probably eat here.

The rice was under cooked the meat was over cooked and the prices were outrageous .I would never recommend your place to anyone. I will say the waitress was very nice and courteous and efficient.

The place is VERY quaint and super nice. Our server was an AMAZING young man that took very good care of us. We will definitely stop there again when traveling 👍👍👍

Best Green Chicken Enchiladas I've had in a long time. I was told everything is made from scratch. And it shows. Friendly staff.

First time coming here, stopped by for lunch. Ordered chicken strips, came with soup or salad, and choice of potato. So I chose the salad and French fries. Went to get the salad and the plate was tiny and only got one trip so couldn't get much on the plate. When my chicken strips came out there was only three very small strips and some fries. The strips had a lot of breading and very little meat. The fries were ok. Went to pay the bill and it was over $14.00. Way too much for what you get.

It's a family owned restaurant that has a variety of plates. I ordered the Chicken Fried steak which was tasty but the white gravey was running and not very thick. I also had a salad from the salad bar which was pretty fresh. I would stop again to try another dish. My husband had a breakfast plate and it was quite delicious.The portions of potatoes, bacon and sausage were large. He enjoyed it.

The T-bone Steak was cooked good and had a good flavor. Everything else, including the service was below average. Fort Stockton just doesn't have good restaurants. But if you are looking for a decent steak this is a good place. Don't expect Ruth Chris, however.

Very fast breakfast, all good. Oj at 7 buck a glass is a lil steep. Not even fresh squeezed.

Our food was cooked exactly like we asked for it and our food was served in a timely manner. Very good service and food.

Biscuits and gravy was delicious! Hot sauce is awesome!
